These are not birthdays of real people. They are calendar dates for a form, a test row or a story. Do not attach one to a name you did not invent.
How to use
- Set a seed, how many dates, and the “age as of” day as YYYY-MM-DD.
- Press Generate. Read the age next to each date.
- Reset restores two dates from the seed june, aged as of 2026-11-06.
Formula / how it works
The range. Every date falls in 1950 through 2010, inclusive. That keeps the ages, on a day in the 2020s, inside a span you can read without a newborn or a nineteenth-century year. The draw is a day number in that span, from a fixed sequence started by the seed. June, two dates, as of 2026-11-06, is 16 August 1967, age 59, and 8 August 1992, age 34. The same seed with the as-of day moved to 2000-01-01 still returns 16 August 1967, but the age is 32, because the birthday that year has not arrived yet on 1 January. The date does not depend on the as-of day. The age does.
How age is counted. Whole years, with the birthday itself required before the year increments. Born 16 August, as of 1 January, the age is one less than the raw subtraction of years. The tool does not count months or days beyond that. The age calculator is the page for two dates you already know. This page invents the birth date. Leap days that are not real dates cannot be produced, because the day number is turned back through the calendar and checked.
Why a fixed as-of day. An age that used “today” would change the example whenever the page is rebuilt, and a screenshot would rot. You type the day the age should be judged on. Use the real today when you are filling a form. Use the sample day when you need the numbers on this page.
People. A date is not a biography. Pairing it with a real name, a real address or a real phone number is how a fake identity is built. The address generator on this site is fictional on purpose, and the phone tool stays in reserved drama ranges. Even together they are sample fields, not a person you may contact. Five dates is the cap.
Duplicates. One press will not repeat a date. Ask for two and you get two different days. The count line confirms it.
Writing the date. Dates are YYYY-MM-DD, so a spreadsheet does not have to guess whether 08 means August or the 8th of an unnamed month. The age sits in the same line so you do not have to subtract. If you only wanted the date, ignore the parenthesis. If you only wanted the age, you still have to keep the date, because an age without a day is not checkable
Worked examples
Two dates as of November 2026
Inputs: Seed: june | How many: 2 | Age as of: 2026-11-06
Use seed june, how many 2 and age as of 2026-11-06. The first date is 16 August 1967, age 59.
Result: Seed: june
As of: 2026-11-06
Count: 2
1. 1967-08-16 (age 59 as of 2026-11-06)
2. 1992-08-08 (age 34 as of 2026-11-06)
Random dates for a form or a story. Not a real person's birthday.
The same first date, judged in 2000
Inputs: Seed: june | How many: 1 | Age as of: 2000-01-01
Use seed june, how many 1 and age as of 2000-01-01. The date is still 16 August 1967 and the age is 32.
Result: Seed: june
As of: 2000-01-01
Count: 1
1. 1967-08-16 (age 32 as of 2000-01-01)
Random dates for a form or a story. Not a real person's birthday.
Use cases
- A sample row in a form you are designing.
- A story that needs a birth date and a consistent age.
- Showing that moving the as-of day changes the age and not the date.
- A test that must rebuild the same two dates from a seed.
Tips & limitations
- Do not attach a generated date to a real person.
- Type the as-of day you actually mean. The sample day is 6 November 2026.
- Keep the seed if the screenshot has to match.
- Use the age calculator when both dates are already known.
FAQ
Is this someone’s real birthday?
No. The dates are draws between 1950 and 2010. They are not looked up from a population.
Why did the age drop when I changed only the as-of day?
Age counts whole years and waits for the birthday. An earlier as-of day can fall before that birthday.
Can I get a date in 2024?
No. The range stops at the end of 2010 so the sample ages stay in a readable band.
Does 29 February appear in a non-leap year?
No. Only dates that exist are emitted.
Will the same seed give a new date tomorrow?
The date stays. The age changes only if you change the as-of day.
Is the request uploaded?
No. The dates are calculated in the browser.
Results are calculated from the values you enter. Double-check measurements and allow a margin before buying materials or making decisions.
