Repeat Text Generator

Repeat text copies a snippet a number of times you choose, up to 20. ha three times with a space between is ha ha ha. The same three with a new line are three lines. With nothing between, the copies touch.

New

Whole copies only. If you need a cut to an exact length, that is the length tool.

How to use

  1. Type the snippet, the number of times, and a separator.
  2. Press Repeat. The first line of the result is the count.
  3. Reset restores ha, three times, with spaces.

Formula / how it works

Copies. The snippet is placed n times. The separator is a space, a newline, or nothing. It is not typed as a character in its own box. A space inside the snippet is part of each copy. ha with spaces is three tokens separated by single spaces. A newline separator puts each copy on its own line and does not add a trailing blank line beyond the joins. Nothing means concatenation: hahaha for three copies of ha. Twenty is the cap. One is allowed and returns the snippet once, with the count line still saying 1.

Not the length tool. The length generator repeats and cuts. This page never cuts a copy. If 20 copies are more text than you wanted, lower the count. Do not expect this page to stop at 100 characters. It stops at 20 copies.

ha three times with a space is ha ha ha. The same three with a new line is three lines. With nothing between, it is hahaha. Twenty is the cap so a repeat cannot fill the tab. The separator is a choice, not a character you type, except that the text itself may contain spaces. Those spaces are part of each copy. A blank text is refused. Use this for a chant, a filler line, or a test string of known size. It is not the length tool. The length tool cuts. This one copies whole snippets and stops at the count you asked. If you need exactly 100 characters, use the length page and a snippet that divides nicely.

ha ha ha is three copies and two spaces. Count the copies, not the spaces. A line separator is for a list of identical lines, such as a placeholder row you will edit later. Nothing-between is for a string of known pattern, such as hahaha, where a space would ruin the pattern. Pick the separator before you copy. Changing it after you have pasted the old result is how a test keeps the wrong string. The count line is the first line of the result so a screenshot shows the number even if the copies are long. Twenty copies of a 200-character snippet is a large box. That is the upper corner of the tool. Most uses are three.

Three copies are the sample because you can see the joins. Two copies on separate lines are the sample that shows the separator is a break and not a space. Count the ha tokens. If you see two, the times box was 2. If you see three in one line, the separator was a space. The result’s first line names the count so you do not have to count when the snippet is long. Twenty remains the ceiling. Ask for fewer if the box becomes hard to copy. Three is the sample because the joins stay visible. Two on separate lines shows the break. Count ha, not the spaces between the copies. Spaces are the separator, not a copy.

  • A single copy when the count is 1.

Tips & limitations

  • The separator is not part of the snippet.
  • Use the length tool if you must cut.
  • A space inside the snippet repeats with every copy.

FAQ

Why is three copies of ha written ha ha ha?

The separator is a space. Nothing between them would be hahaha.

Does a line separator add a blank line at the end?

No. New lines are only between copies.

Can I repeat 100 times?

No. The cap is 20 copies.

Will it stop at 100 characters?

No. It copies whole snippets. The length tool is the one that cuts.

Is 1 allowed?

Yes. You get the snippet once.

Is the snippet uploaded?

No. The copies are built in the browser.

Runs entirely in your browser; your text is not uploaded. Counts and scores are heuristics, so review the output before you publish it.
