Stylish Name Generator

A stylish name, for a game lobby or a social bio, is usually the same letters drawn with a different Unicode alphabet or wrapped in a simple ornament. This page takes a short name and prints spaced, dotted, fullwidth, bold, script, fraktur, circled, small-caps, superscript, bracketed, sparkled, heart-wrapped and upside-down versions.

New

Script and fraktur use uncommon Unicode. If a letter shows as a box, that font has no glyph for it. Copy a bold or fullwidth row instead.

It does not invent a new word and it does not check whether a server will allow the characters. A name longer than 32 characters is refused so the lines stay easy to select.

How to use

  1. Type the name, up to 32 characters.
  2. Press Style name. Each look is on its own labeled line.
  3. Copy one line and paste it into the profile you are editing. Reset restores Nova.

Formula / how it works

Ornaments versus alphabets. Two of the lines do not change the letters at all. Spaced inserts a normal space between characters, and dotted inserts a middle dot. Brackets wrap the name in 『 』, sparkles use ✧ on both sides, and hearts use ♡. Those five are safe to try first, because they rarely depend on a rare glyph. The alphabetic lines replace letters and can fail on a font that has no mathematical or enclosed forms.

The alphabets. Bold, script and fraktur are the same mathematical and letterlike characters used by the fancy text generator, applied to a name instead of a sentence. Circled letters use the enclosed alphabet. Fullwidth uses the wide ASCII forms and an ideographic space if you typed a space. The bold text generator is the page to open when you only want the heavy rows and you do not want hearts or small caps mixed in.

Small caps and superscript are incomplete. Unicode does not offer a small-cap or a superscript for every letter. This page maps the ones that exist and leaves the others as typed. Small caps cover a–z except x, which stays “x”. Superscript covers many small letters and a subset of capitals; q and several capitals have no superscript in the map, so they stay plain. A name that mixes styled and plain letters is honest output, not a glitch. If you need every character transformed, use bold or fullwidth, which cover A–Z and a–z.

Upside down. The last line maps each character to an upside-down lookalike and reverses the string. “Nova” reads from the end. That is entertaining in a status and a poor choice for a name people must type back to you. Anything you want friends to search should keep a plain-letter copy.

Games and forms. A stylish name can violate a game’s character filter even when it looks fine in the browser. Clients that only accept Basic Latin will reject script and circled letters. Some clients accept spaces but collapse them, so the spaced line may become a normal word after you save. Display names and login names are often different fields: put the ornament on the display name and keep the login in plain letters you can type on a keyboard. This page cannot see the game’s rules.

Length and case. Thirty-two characters is the cap, counted in Unicode characters, not bytes. Case is preserved where the alphabet has both cases. “Kai” keeps a capital K in the bold and script rows. Small caps and superscript are inherently single-case looks, so the capital becomes the small-cap or superscript form when one exists. Empty input is an error.

Worked examples

The sample name

Inputs: Name: Nova

Leave the name as Nova and press Style name. Compare the dotted line with the script line before you copy either one.

Result: Spaced: N o v a Dotted: N·o·v·a Fullwidth: Nova Bold: 𝐍𝐨𝐯𝐚 Script: 𝒩𝓄𝓋𝒶 Fraktur: 𝔑𝔬𝔳𝔞 Circled: Ⓝⓞⓥⓐ Small caps: ɴᴏᴠᴀ Superscript: ᴺᵒᵛᵃ Brackets: 『Nova』 Sparkles: ✧ Nova ✧ Hearts: ♡ Nova ♡ Upside down: ɐʌoN

A three-letter name

Inputs: Name: Kai

Change the name to Kai and press Style name. The capital K stays a capital in the bold and script rows.

Result: Spaced: K a i Dotted: K·a·i Fullwidth: Kai Bold: 𝐊𝐚𝐢 Script: 𝒦𝒶𝒾 Fraktur: 𝔎𝔞𝔦 Circled: Ⓚⓐⓘ Small caps: ᴋᴀɪ Superscript: ᴷᵃⁱ Brackets: 『Kai』 Sparkles: ✧ Kai ✧ Hearts: ♡ Kai ♡ Upside down: ᴉɐʞ

Use cases

  • Trying a display name before you fight a game’s character filter.
  • A spaced or dotted nickname that still uses ordinary letters.
  • Wrapping a clan tag in brackets or sparkles.
  • Checking small caps on a name that is mostly letters the map supports.

Tips & limitations

  • Keep a plain spelling. People cannot always type the styled form.
  • Prefer spaced, dotted or bracketed lines if a previous paste showed boxes.
  • Do not put styled characters in an email address or a password.
  • If x or q must change too, use bold or fullwidth rather than small caps or superscript.

FAQ

Will this name work in every game?

No. Many games allow only Basic Latin in the login, and some strip ornaments from the display name. Paste and save to find out.

Why did one letter stay plain in small caps?

There is no small-cap x in the map, and superscript is missing q and several capitals. Those characters are left as typed.

Is the upside-down name just rotated?

The characters are lookalikes and the order is reversed, so the name reads from the last letter.

Can I generate a different word, not a restyle?

No. Every line is the name you typed. The page does not suggest synonyms or random handles.

How long can the name be?

32 characters. Longer strings are refused so the lines stay selectable.

Is the name uploaded?

No. The lines are built in the browser.

Runs entirely in your browser; your text is not uploaded. Counts and scores are heuristics, so review the output before you publish it.
