FAQs
What is Morse code?
Morse code represents letters and numbers as sequences of dots and dashes. The famous distress signal SOS is dot-dot-dot, dash-dash-dash, dot-dot-dot.
How are words separated?
Words are separated with a forward slash surrounded by spaces, like “HELLO / WORLD”. When decoding, split words on the slash the same way.
What happens to unknown characters?
Characters with no Morse equivalent are skipped when encoding. When decoding, an unrecognised sequence becomes a question mark.
Is any of my data stored?
No. All translation happens locally in your browser, and your messages never leave your device.
