FAQs

How is ROI calculated?

ROI is (final value minus initial investment) divided by the initial investment, times 100. A £10,000 investment that grows to £13,500 gives a 35% ROI.

What is the annualised return?

It spreads the total return evenly across each year of the investment, so you can compare investments held for different lengths of time.

Can ROI be negative?

Yes. If the final value is lower than what you invested, the calculator shows a negative ROI and the loss in red.
