FAQs
What is the difference between adding and extracting tax?
Adding applies the rate on top of a net price. Extracting works backwards from a tax-inclusive price to reveal the net amount and the tax hidden inside it.
Can I use it for VAT?
Yes. Enter your VAT rate, such as 20, and the maths is identical to sales tax.
Are the results rounded?
All amounts are shown to two decimal places, as you would expect on a receipt or invoice.
