FAQs
What is a query string?
It is the part of a URL after the question mark, made of name=value pairs joined by ampersands. Servers use it to receive search terms, filters and options.
Why are some characters shown as codes?
URLs encode special characters, such as spaces as %20. This tool decodes them so you see the real values.
Can I paste just the query part?
Yes. Paste either a full URL or only the query string — both are handled.
What about the part after #?
The fragment after # is never sent to servers, so the parser ignores it and focuses on the query string.
