Text to code points

Code points to text

How to Use

  1. Type text and press Convert to code points to see each character’s U+ code.
  2. Or paste hex codes (like U+0048) and press Convert to text to rebuild the text.
  3. Copy either result with the Copy button next to it.
  4. Invalid codes are skipped and reported, so a typo won’t silently corrupt the output.

  • Two-way conversion — text to codes and codes back to text.
  • Emoji safe — handles characters beyond the basic multilingual plane.
  • Flexible input — accepts U+0048, 0x48 or plain 48, split by spaces or commas.

  • 100% private — runs entirely in your browser; nothing is sent or stored.

FAQs

What is a Unicode code point?

It is the unique number assigned to every character in the Unicode standard, usually written as U+ followed by hexadecimal digits — for example, U+0041 is the letter A.

What is the difference between hex and decimal codes?

They are the same number in different bases. U+0041 in hexadecimal is 65 in decimal — this tool shows you both.

Why did some of my codes get skipped?

Tokens that aren’t valid hexadecimal, or numbers outside the Unicode range, are skipped and counted in the message so you can spot typos.

Is my text sent anywhere?

No. The conversion runs entirely in your browser and never transmits or saves your text.
