What is a roofing square?
A square is 100 square feet of roof area. Shingles are sold by the bundle, with three bundles typically covering one square, which is why the calculator converts the area for you.
Does the estimate include ridge caps?
Ridge cap shingles are not included in the bundle count, but the ridge length is shown separately so you can order them. A small extra allowance for valleys and flashing is always wise.
Is my data uploaded or stored anywhere?
